T.J. Jindra will begin his first year as the interim Coordinator of Hockey and Video Operations at St. Cloud State University in 2018-19.

A graduate of the University of Notre Dame and former collegiate hockey player for the Irish from 2003 to 2007, Jindra most recently served as the Director of Youth Programming and Development with the Madison Capitols and also served as an associate head coach and assistant general manager with the Madison Capitols (USHL) from 2016 to 2017.
Jindra will replace Matt Chapman as SCSU's Coordinator of Hockey and Video Operations. Chapman recently was named the interim Associate Athletic Director, Athletics Revenue and University Ticketing at St. Cloud State University.

Prior to his time helping build the USHL franchise in Madison, Jindra served for one season as an assistant head hockey coach at the University of St. Thomas in 2015-16. He helped the Tommies gain a second place finish in the MIAC standings during that season.

From 2011-15, Jindra was an assistant hockey coach at the University of Alaska-Anchorage. He worked with all areas of the program at UAA including recruiting, hockey operations and video coordination. In his third season at UAA, the Seawvolves posted their first winning season in 20 years.

Jindra joined the college coaching ranks as a volunteer assistant hockey coach at the University of Notre Dame during the 2010-11 season and prior to that he began his hockey coaching career as an assistant prep hockey coach at Shattuck-St. Mary's Preparatory High School from 2008 to 2010.

A graduate of Burnsville High School in Burnsville, Minn., Jindra played junior hockey with the Omaha Lancers (USHL) from 2001 to 2003. He served as a team captain at Omaha in 2002-03 and scored 25 goals and 47 assists during his career in the USHL. Â

Jindra went on to play for Notre Dame from 2003 to 2007. He was a team captain for the Irish for two seasons and helped Notre Dame win the CCHA regular season title and CCHA tournament title in 2007, and advance to the NCAA tournament in 2004 and 2007.Â
He earned Notre Dame's Charles "Lefty" Smith Coaches Award, Student Leadership Award and Francis Patrick O'Connor Award in 2007. In four seasons at Notre Dame, Jindra scored 12 goals and 24 assists during his college playing career.
