2014-15: Named to 2015 NCHC Scholar-Athlete team...a 2015 All-NCHC Academic team award recipient...named SCSU's Brendan J. and Vernie McDonald President's Award (Outstanding Student-Athlete) award winner in 2014-15...notched six goals and 20 assists as a junior at SCSU...scored five power play goals...scored one goal and three assists in SCSU's win at CC on Jan 30, 2015...had five multi-point games in 2014-15.
2013-14: Kossila was named St. Cloud State's Brendan J. and Vernie McDonald President's Award (Outstanding Student-Athlete) award winner for 2013-14...2014 All-NCHC Academic Team selection...strong sophomore season with 13 goals, 27 assists and 40 points to his credit...charted 19 blocked shots and was +7 on the plus/minus...had eight multi-point games as a sophomore...hit career-high with four assists in 7-4 win over CC on Mar. 7, 2014...named NCHC Player of the Week on Feb. 3, 2014...scored first career hat trick at SCSU with three goal night at Omaha on Feb. 1, 2014. Before SCSU: Kossila played for the Blues U20 squad in the Finnish Junior A SM-lilga league during the 2011-12 season, where charted 21 goals and 38 assists...in 2010-11, Kossila played with Blues U20 squad and notched 11 goals and 16 assists after starting the year with the Blues U18 team...in his junior career, Kossila also played with the Blue U18 team in 2009-10 and was on the Jokerit U16 team in 2008-09...he was a teammate of current Husky teammate Rasmus Reijola in 2011-12...helped lead his junior teams to U16 and U18 championships in Finland and a runner-up spot with his U20 team in Finland...also earned Finland championship medals in the sports of bandy, soccer and roller hockey...played in inline hockey world championships for Team Finland.
