Elizabeth Kelly is in her second season as an assistant coach with the St. Cloud State University women's soccer team in 2011. Last year, Kelly helped guide the efforts of SCSU's All-NSIC goalkeeper Kenzie Hanzlik.
A native of Omaha, Neb., Kelly returns to campus after spending the 2010 season as an assistant coach with the women's soccer program at the University of Wisconsin-Superior.
A standout goalkeeper for the Huskies from 2006-09, Kelly enjoyed a career that made her one of the most decorated goalkeepers in school history, ranking at or near the top in almost every statistical category.
In four seasons (2006-09), Kelly appeared in 68 games, going 26-29-11, her marks for wins and ties being school records. Kelly also holds school records for shutouts (16) and minutes played (5946). A three-year captain for the Huskies, Kelly was a two-time NSIC All-Conference selection (2006, 2009). In 2006 she was named NCC Freshman of the Year and in 2009 helped the Huskies earn their first-ever NSIC conference tournament win. She was named NSIC Defensive Player of the Week at least once in each of her last three seasons.
Kelly is a product of Omaha's Marian High School and also was a member of the West Omaha Gladiator Kologne club team. A student-athlete honor roll member at SCSU, Kelly received her undergraduate degree from SCSU in 2010.
