SCSU Swimming and Diving Keep it Rolling at UW-Green Bay

Green Bay, Wisconsin -- The St. Cloud State men's and women's swimming and diving teams completed competition against UW-Green Bay and UW-Whitewater this evening. The three teams competed in 40 total events. The St. Cloud State men's squad finished in first, while the women's finished in second.
The men's team was victorious with a final team score of 851. The Huskies beat UW-Green Bay who finished with 827 and UW-Whitewater who tallied 385.
The St. Cloud State women's team came in second with a final team score of 726. UW-Green Bay finished first with 904 and UW-Whitewater fell behind finishing with a score of 460.
Head Coach Jeff Hegle recapped the meet stating, "Our student athletes performed very well this weekend against a very good division I and division III team. We continue to improve each week, and now we will get a chance to see where we are as a team in two weeks at Rochester."
Two pool records were broken by St. Cloud State performances this evening. The men's 200 medley relay squad consisting of Bob Simson (St. Cloud), Napoleon Howell (St. Augustine, Trinidad), Jake Stoll (Gilbert, Ariz.), and Jake Hausauer (Minnetonka) won the event in a time of 1:33.75.
The second pool record was broken by Alex Bryson in the 1650 yard freestyle. Bryson swam the 1650 free in a time of 16:14.09.
After 40 total meet events, the St. Cloud State men tallied 15 individual first place finishes. The women added two more.
