Volleyball to Host #1 Concordia-St. Paul and Minnesota State - Mankato

St. Cloud, Minn. – The St. Cloud State University volleyball team will host #1 Concordia University, St. Paul and Minnesota State University – Mankato in their final weekend of Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) action this weekend. The Huskies will take on the Golden Bears at 7 p.m. in Halenbeck Hall on Friday, Nov. 15. They will host the Mavericks of MSU on Saturday, Nov. 16 at 7:30 p.m.

- The Huskies enter the weekend match-ups with a 13-13 overall record and a 7-11 mark in the NSIC.
- They are coming off a weekend split, after a loss to Upper Iowa (1-3) and a victory over Winona State (3-1).
- The Huskies took on Concordia, St. Paul and Minnesota State earlier this season (Sept. 27, 28). SCSU fell to both teams in straight sets.
- Saturday, Nov. 16 vs. MSU marks Senior Night at Halenbeck Hall. Ellie Dietzen, the Huskies lone senior, will be honored for her accomplishments throughout her career.
- Dietzen has found her way into the Husky Volleyball Record Book several times. She is currently ranked 4th in total blocks with 360, ranked 5th in block solos with 71 and 6th in block assists with 289. Her 405 sets played are the 7th most in school history.
Concordia, St. Paul Notes:
- The #1 ranked Golden Bears enter the weekend match-ups with a 26-1 overall record and are 18-0 in the NSIC.
- They are coming off a weekend sweep over Bemidji State (3-0) and Minnesota Crookston (3-0).
- As a team, Concordia leads the NSIC in hitting percentage (.340), assists (14.96/set), blocks (2.32/set), and kills (15.83/set).
- Offensively, Kayla Koenecke leads the way collecting 340 total kills this season, and hitting a .417 attack percentage.
Minnesota State University Notes:
- The Mavericks enter the weekend match-ups with a 13-13 overall record and an 8-10 mark in the NSIC. Tied for 8th place in the conference, they battle for a conference tournament berth this weekend.
- They are coming off a weekend sweep as they defeated Minnesota Crookston (3-2) and Bemidji State (3-2).
- Chandra Honebrink leads MSU with 272 kills, averaging 3.2 per set.
