SCSU Volleyball: Huskies Defeat Winona State, 3-1

Winona, Minn. -- The St. Cloud State University volleyball team traveled to Winona, Minn. to take on Winona State University in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) action this evening. The Huskies started out strong, defeating the Warriors 25-22 and 25-17 in sets one and two. Winona State downed St. Cloud 25-13 in set three before the Huskies ended the match with a 25-20 fourth-set victory.
St. Cloud State puts an end to their eight-match losing streak and improves to 13-13 overall and 7-11 in the NSIC. Winona State drops to 10-17 overall and 7-11 in conference action.
Dani Domeier (Norwood Young America) led the Huskies for the second night in a row with 11 kills and 13 digs (her ninth double-double of the season).
Ellie Dietzen (Black Creek, Wis.) finished with 11 kills and a team-high eight solo blocks.
Allison Butler (Burnsville) put up some solid numbers with a double-double of her own. Butler finished with a 10 kill, 19 dig performance, while hitting a .417 attack percentage.
Erin Ohlemann (Golden Valley) dished out 33 assists and added ten digs.
Brianne Stamer (Hutchinson) added 17 digs.
The Huskies will return to action next weekend for their final conference double-header of the season. The Huskies will take on Concordia, St. Paul on Friday, Nov. 15 at 7 p.m. in Halenbeck Hall. Saturday's game against Minnesota State University is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. and will be designated for honoring St. Cloud State's lone senior, Ellie Dietzen.
