
Huskies Host Minnesota Crookston and Bemidji State in Final Weekend of NSIC Play

St. Cloud, Minn. -- The St. Cloud State University women's basketball team (14-10 overall, 10-10 NSIC) will host Minnesota Crookston (10-14 overall, 7-13 NSIC) and Bemidji State University (9-15 overall, 5-15 NSIC) in a final pair of regular season Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) games this weekend, Feb. 21 and 22.
The Huskies currently sit in fifth place in the North Division standings and could potentially move into fourth with a weekend sweep and two losses by MSU Moorhead.Â
Saturday, Feb. 22 will mark Senior Night for St. Cloud State women's basketball. Jessica Benson (Grand Meadow), Rachael Moen (Savage) and Sam Price (Eau Claire, Wis.) will be honored for their contributions to the program.Â

Jessica Benson (Grand Meadow) has played in 84 games and started 71 of those in her three-year career at St. Cloud State. Benson has been the driving force behind the Huskies offense the past two seasons, averaging 15.9 points per game this year and 13.4 during her career. She was named to the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Second Team in 2013. Through 24 games this season, Benson is in third place in the NSIC in rebounding, averaging 10.4 per game. She scored a career-high 32 points at Southwest Minnesota State on Jan. 11, 2013. Benson scored her 1,000th career point on Jan. 17th this season at the University of Mary and now ranks 24th in the St. Cloud State record books with 1,126 career points.

Rachael Moen (Savage) has played in 104 career games. She has started in all 24 games this season at point guard and is averaging 12.1 points per contest. She scored a career-high 23 points against Minnesota State University Moorhead on Jan. 25. Moen's sharp shooting has landed her in the St. Cloud State record book. She currently ranks sixth on the all-time free throw percentage charts shooting a career 82% from the line. Moen has knocked down 110 shots from three-point range tying her for 7th place on the career charts. Her 39.2 three-point percentage is second best in school history. Moen has totaled 737 points, 251 assists and 137 steals at SCSU.

Sam Price (Eau Claire, Wis.) has played in 102 career games in a Husky uniform and has started in 90 of those. Price is averaging 14.5 points per contest this season and leads the NCAA Division II in free-throw percentage for the second straight season, shooting 94.7% from the line. Price has knocked down 179 shots from behind the arc, putting her in third place on the all-time charts at SCSU. She holds the first place spot in career free-throw percentage at 90.1%. Price scored her 1,000th career point on Dec. 14, 2013 in the Huskies win over the University of Mary. She has totaled 1,208 points, 292 rebounds and 177 assists in her four years at St. Cloud State.
