
SCSU Volleyball Splits First Day of Peacock Open

Fayette, Iowa – The St. Cloud State volleyball team traveled to Fayette Iowa to compete in the Peacock Open. The Huskies fell to Northern Michigan 1-3 with final scores of 26-28, 25-17, 22-25, and 23-25. St. Cloud State then took on South Dakota School of Mines are defeated the Hardrockers in three straight sets with scores 25-17, 25-17, and 25-21.
The Huskies move to 4-2 overall and will continue competition at the Peacock Open tomorrow as they take on Michigan Technological University at 9 a.m. and Upper Iowa University at 7 p.m.
SCSU vs. Northern Michigan:
Kellan Flynn (Tomahawk, Wis.) led the Huskies with nine kills, holding a .316 attack percentage.
Marissa Kline (Luxemburg, Wis.) tallied 21 assists and two service aces.
Northern Michigan's Madison Whitehead led all players with 12 kills.
SCSU vs. South Dakota School of Mines & Technology:
Macy Weller (Sauk Centre, Minn.) led the Huskies with 11 kills followed by Kellan Flynn (Tomahawk, Wis.) with 10 kills.
Allison Butler (Burnsville, Minn.) recorded 15 assists and 8 digs.
Brianne Stamer (Hutchinson, Minn.) led St. Cloud State with 28 digs.
St. Cloud State recorded a .223 attack percentage compared to SD Mines .040.
