St. Cloud, Minn. – The St. Cloud State volleyball team host Bemidji State in their Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) home opener this evening in Halenbeck Hall. The Huskies defeated the Beavers three sets to one, with final scores of 23-25, 25-20, 25-17, and 25-19.

St. Cloud State improves to 5-4 overall and 1-0 in the NSIC.

Rachel Burke (Madison, Wis.) led all players with 18 kills, averaging a .400 attack percentage. Burke also tallied five blocks and ten digs.

Brianne Stamer (Hutchinson, Minn.) recorded a team-high 26 digs.

Allison Butler (Burnsville, Minn.) tallied 32 assists and 12 digs for the Huskies. Marissa Kline (Luxemburg, Wis.) finished with 17 assists.

Kellan Flynn (Tomahawk, Wis.) had a team-high six blocks.

Bemidji State's Amanda Tronick recorded a team-high 14 kills for the Beavers.

St. Cloud State will return to action Saturday, Sept. 19 as they travel to Crookston, Minn. to take on the Golden Eagles. Minnesota-Crookston fell to the University of Minnesota Duluth in three sets this evening. The enter Saturday's match-up against the Huskies 4-5 overall and 0-1 in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC.)
