Crookston, Minn. – The St. Cloud State volleyball team was defeated by Minnesota-Crookston this afternoon in Crookston, Minn. The Huskies fell to the Golden Eagles in three straight matches with final scores of 13-25, 22-25, and 19-25.
St. Cloud State falls to 5-5 overall and 1-1 in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC). Minnesota Crookston improves to 5-5 overall and 1-1 in the conference.
Rachel Burke (Madison, Wis.) led the Huskies with nine kills and two service aces. Burke finished with a .154 attack percentage.
Brianne Stamer (Hutchinson, Minn.) recorded a team-high 12 digs.
Allison Butler (Burnsville, Minn.) tallied 24 assists and six digs for St. Cloud State.
Macy Weller (Sauk Centre, Minn.) led the Huskies with five blocks.
Maggie Perrel led all players with 12 kills.
Minnesota Crookston finished with a .303 attack percentage compared to St. Cloud State's .125.
St. Cloud State will return to action Tuesday, Sept. 22 as they take on the University of Minnesota Duluth. The Bulldogs stand at 9-1 overall and 2-0 in the NSIC.
