#2 Huskies bring home titles from Viking/Warrior Open

The #2 St. Cloud State University wrestling team continue to chart impressive results with another strong showing at the Viking-Warrior Open, which was held in Fremont, Neb. on Jan. 2.
SCSU senior #1 Clint Poster brought home a first place finish at 165-pounds while teammate Vince Dietz gained a first place finish for the Huskies at 174-pounds. Â V.J. Giuilo placed first in the 197-pound category and Austin Goergen won the tournament title at 285-pounds. Â No team scores were kept at this open style tournament.
At 125-pounds, Brett Velasquez placed second at the Viking-Warrior Open, while Jarred Oftedahl placed second at 133-pounds. Â SCSU's other second place finisher in the tournament was James Pleski, who took the runner-up spot at 149-pounds.
