ST. CLOUD, Minn. – The St. Cloud State women's basketball team (1-0) continues the non-conference season with a home contest against Northland College (0-1) on Saturday, Nov. 18, at 2 p.m. at Halenbeck Hall.

Scouting Northland College
- The Lumberjills are coached by Daryle Tucker, who is in his third season in charge of the program.
- Northland College is a Division III school located in Ashland, Wisconsin.
- The program is part of the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC).
- Northland College went 8-17 overall and 4-12 in the UMAC in 2016-17.
- The team had an 11-12 record and were 6-10 in the UMAC in 2015-16.
- NC is 0-1 on the season after falling to the University of Jamestown (ND) by a 104-31 score on Nov. 11 on the road.
- The Lumberjills were limited to 21.6 percent shooting (11-for-51) and were only able to hit one three-pointer in 10 attempts.
- The program did hit 8-of-11 free throws though (72.7 percent).
- Emily Wagner led the team with her eight points.
- Wagner also had four rebounds.
- Sarah Houle totaled six points.
- Ashton Meadows and Autumn Ninke had five rebounds each.
- The Lumberjills are schedule to play a pair of games this week against Silver Lake College on Wednesday, Nov. 15, and Lawrence University on Thursday, Nov. 16, before coming to St. Cloud this weekend.
Prior Meetings
- The Huskies and the Lumberjills have only faced each other once previously with SCSU winning last season 105-52 on Nov. 19.
- That game was one of two times that SCSU topped the 100-point barrier last season.
- The team put five players in double figures in the contest and were led by Madelin Dammann's 19 points.
- Betsy MacDonald totaled 12 points.
- Mackenzie Uter dished out seven assists.

- St. Cloud State defeated Valley City State by a 67-42 score on Friday, Nov. 10, to open the season.
- The program is now 7-1 all-time against Valley City State in a series that started in 1979.
- This was the third time in the last five years that SCSU has began the year against VCSU.
- The 25-point victory was the largest for the program since the 53-point win over Northland College last season (11/19/16)
- The program is now 7-3 under Lori Fish in the season opening game.
- Freshman Tori Wortz led the team with her 18 points on 6-for-12 shooting from the field in collegiate debut.
- She also had five rebounds, an assist and two steals in the win.
- Wortz ranks highly in the NSIC in numerous categories following the first week of action as she is third in scoring (18.0), seventh in three-point field goals per game (2.0), ninth in steals per game (2.0), tied for ninth in blocks per game (1.0), 10th in three-point percentage (40.0) plus 10th in field goal percentage (50.0).
- Senior Andrea Thomas had a steady all-around game against the Vikings with 16 points, five rebounds, six assists and three steals.
- Thomas is second in the NSIC in assists per game (6.0), third in steals per game (3.0), sixth in assist/turnover ratio (1.50), seventh in free throws made (7), ninth in defensive rebounds (5.0), 10thh in scoring (16.0) and 11th in total assists (6.0).
- Senior Amanda Christianson is third in the NSIC in three-point percentage (66.7) and seventh in three-pointers made (2.0).
- Redshirt junior Madelin Dammann is fourth in the league in assists (4.0), fifth in assist/turnover ratio (2.00) and tied for ninth in blocks (1.00) along with redshirt sophomore Brianna Johnson and freshman Nikki Kilboten.
