Schedule Change Announced for NSIC Outdoor Track & Field Decathlon & Heptathlon

Burnsville, Minn. - Due to poor weather conditions forecasted for Sunday and Monday in Mankato, Minnesota, the NSIC Outdoor Track & Field Decathlon and Heptathlon have been pushed back to Tuesday and Wednesday, May 2-3 at MSU Track & Field Complex.Â
The first two events of the NSIC Outdoor Track & Field Championships will now begin on Tuesday with the decathlon starting at 2 p.m. and the heptathlon to follow at 2:15 p.m.
Tuesday's events in the decathlon will be the 100m dash, followed by the long jump, shot put, high jump and 400m run. Wednesday's events will begin at 10 a.m. and will consist of the 110m hurdles, discus, pole vault, javelin and the 1500m run.Â
The heptathlon will begin with the 100m hurdles, followed by the high jump, shot put and 200m dash. The event will conclude on Wednesday with the long jump, javelin and 800m run. The long jump is set to begin at 10:15 a.m. on Wednesday.Â
The top three finishers in the decathlon and heptathlon each earn All-NSIC honors.Â
The remainder of events in the NSIC Outdoor Track & Field Championships will take place on Friday and Saturday, May 12-13 at Sea Foam Stadium on the campus of Concordia University, St. Paul. Events begin at 10 a.m. on Friday and 11 a.m. on Saturday.Â

St. Cloud State's track and field program competes in a pair of meets this weekend. The majority of the team is at the Kip Janvrin Open at Indianola, Iowa at Simpson College on Friday, April 28. The team will also send a delegation of competitors to the Saint Mary's Open in Winona, Minn. on Saturday, April 29.
