
Huskies Head West for Weekend Set in Washington

St. Cloud State has not faced Central Washington or Concordia (Ore.) in program history.
ELLENSBURG, WA. - After starting their season with a 68-56 victory over Valley City State, the St. Cloud State women's basketball team (1-0, 0-0 NSIC) will be playing two non-conference games this weekend in the Central Washington Tournament. SCSU will face Central Washington at 9:30 PM CT on Friday, then take on the Concordia Cavaliers at 7 PM CT on Saturday, Nov. 17.Â
DOUCETTE'S BIG DAY BOOSTSÂ SCSU IN REGULAR SEASON OPENER
The Huskies won their first game of the regular season in dramatic fashion, a 68-56 overtime victory against Valley City State. Mallie Doucette dropped a career high of 27 points in the while Nikki Kilbotten brought in nine rebounds for a team high. SCSU led for over 40 minutes in the contest but a late surge from VCSU put the Huskies in a three point deficit two different times in the final two minutes of play. Mallie Doucette tied things up with :12 in regulation to force the overtime period, where the Huskies outscored Valley City 14-3.
