The St. Cloud State University men's golf team finished in a tie for fifth place at the Upper Iowa Spring Invite on Mar. 29-30.

The Huskies posted a two-day score on 609 (311-298) to tie for fifth in the team standings along with host Upper Iowa. The tournament was held at the Wayne Country Club in Wayne, Neb. Weather conditions prompted the move to Nebraska from the originally scheduled venue in Waterloo, Iowa. Nebraska Kearney won the tourney with a score of 577 (288-289).

SCSU's Riley Duncanson paced the Huskies with a 12th place score of 149 (73-76), while teammate David Scharenbroich was 21st overall with a tally of 153 (83-70). SCSU's Austin Janski (80-75), Greg Koehn (79-76) and Regan Steen (78-77) all placed 24th at the meet with scores of 155. Daniel Massey completed SCSU's group at the UIU Spring Invite with a 38th place score of 163 (80-83).

The Huskies will continue their season on April 6-7 with a trip to the Iowa Western Invite.
