
Doucette, Wortz, Theis and Kilboten Earn All-NSIC Honors

BURNSVILLE, Minn. - Upon the completion of the 2018-19 regular season, the St. Cloud State women's basketball team had four members earn All-NSIC honors. Mallie Doucette and Tori Wortz each earned All-NSIC Second team honors, Katrina Theis was named to the All-NSIC Freshman Team and Nikki Kilboten was named to the NSIC's All-Defense Team.Â

Mallie Doucette completed the regular season as the Huskies' leading scorer, averaging 12.6 points per game while posting 55 assists, 28 steals and shooting over 40 percent from the field. Doucette played a vital roll in the Huskies' success down the stretch of the regular season, recording double digits in scoring in eleven of the Huskies' last 16 games before playoffs.Â

Tori Wortz served as the Huskies' primary three-point threat throughout the season, shotting over 40 percent from beyond the arc in 127 attempts over 27 games. The sophomore guard started in each of the Huskies' regular season contests with notable performances against Bemidji State,Nothern State and Wayne State. Wortz posted a career high of 40 points against the Beavers, shooting 16-23 from the field and 5-8 from beyond the arc.Â

Katrina Theis averaged 8.4 points per game in her first season for the Huskies, while leading the team in field goal percentage (45.1) and offensive rebounds (53). Theis was one of five freshmen named to the NSIC's All-Freshman team.

Nikki Kilboten finished the regular season as the NSIC's leader in total blocks (66) and blocks per game (2.4) while also recording the tenth most defensive rebounds (145) in the NSIC. The sophomore forward was one of five players in the conference named to the All-Defense team. Of note, Kilboten also recorded her third double-double of the season in St. Cloud State's first round NSIC Tournament victory over Minnesota State on Wednesday, Feb. 27.

St. Cloud State returns to action on Saturday, March 2nd at 5:30 PM CT in the NSIC Quarterfinals against Bemidji State at the Pentagon in Sioux Falls, S.D.
