
SCSU's Blake Lizotte signs with the NHL's Los Angeles Kings

Lizotte is a 5-9, 175-pound native of Lindstrom, Minn., who appeared in 37 games this season with SCSU, scoring 42 points, 14 goals and 28 assists. He was +28 this season for the Huskies and gained All-NCHC First Team honors in 2018-19. Lizotte was also named to the NCHC Frozen Faceoff All-Tournament team in 2019.
He helped lead the Huskies to their second consecutive National Collegiate Hockey Conference regular-season championship and the top overall seed in the NCAA Tournament in 2018 and 2019. In his two seasons at St. Cloud State, he tallied 69 points, 22 goals and 47 assists with a plus-44 rating in 76 games.
During the 2017-18 campaign he was named to the NCHC All-Rookie Team and was named the SCSU Rookie of the Year (Roland Vandell Award) and the team's Most Determined Player (William Radovich Award). Lizotte also gained All-NCHC Academic Honors in 2018 and 2019 along with NCHC Scholar-Athlete awards both season.
Lizotte will report directly to the Kings and is slated to wear No. 46.
