St. Cloud State Men's Basketball Host Three Game Homestand, Opens NSIC Play with No. 7 UMD

Huskies face No. 7 Bulldogs in NSIC play and non-conference match-ups with Northern Michigan & Michigan Tech
ST. CLOUD, Minn. - The St. Cloud State men's basketball team is in for a busy week. The Huskies will open Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) play tomorrow against the No. 7 Minnesota Duluth Bulldogs at Halenbeck Hall. Over the weekend, St. Cloud will host Northern Michigan on Saturday, Nov. 26 and Michigan Tech Sunday, Nov. 27 for non-conference match-ups.

Tomorrow's NSIC opener will tip-off at 5:30 p.m. CT in Halenbeck Hall. Saturday and Sunday's games are both set for 1:00 p.m. CT. The NSIC Network will provide the game stream along with play-by-play by Steve Linzmeier. Live stats will be available on the St. Cloud State men's basketball schedule page.

A Look Back
Last week the Huskies played host to the Minnesota State Mavericks. Despite trailing by a single point at half, the Huskies shooting trouble led them to fall 86-68 in the end. Tommy Chatman and Tony Dahl lead the Huskies in scoring each putting up 19 points.

The No. 7 Bulldogs
No. 7 Minnesota Duluth sits at 3-1 on their 2022-23 season so far. The Bulldogs opened with a three game win streak. Taking down Southern Arkansas 93-74 (Nov. 11), University of Nebraska at Kearney 78-72 (Nov. 12) and Point Loma 89-85 in overtime (Nov. 18). The Bulldogs only loss came from Ferris State last weekend with a score of 71-64 (Nov. 19).

Northern Michigan Wildcats
The Northern Michigan Wildcats are off to a 4-1 start for their 2022-23 season. The Wildcats opened with a four game winning streak. Northern Michigan topped McKendree University 100-93 (Nov. 12), Lewis University 73-60 (Nov. 13), Minnesota Crookston 97-81 (Nov. 17) and Concordia-St. Paul 90-86 (Nov. 18). The Wildcats dropped 74-53 to Hillsdale College Nov. 20.

Michigan Tech has three games under their belt so far with two wins and one loss. The Huskies opened up their season with a loss to Lewis University 71-67 (Nov. 12). Michigan Tech took down McKendree University 77-67 (Nov. 13) and Minnesota Crookston 76-72 (Nov. 18).
