St. Cloud State Men's Basketball Knocks Down Golden Eagles

ST. CLOUD, Minn. - The St. Cloud State men's basketball team is on a four game winning streak since the 2018-19 season. The Huskies knock down the Golden Eagles 81-67 for their second Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) win in a row. Matthew Willert led the Huskies in scoring with 23 points.
GAME SUMMARY
The Huskies went into the locker room up 40-31 at half despite a slow opening start. At the 10:51 mark the Golden Eagles went on a eight point scoring run to take the lead 21-17. That sparked the Huskies offense as they went on a ten point scoring run late in the first half to take the lead back. Eight different Huskies added points to the board in the opening 20 minutes of play.
In the second half, the Huskies capitalized on their lead. Minnesota Crookston was able to chip away St. Cloud's lead to ten with 6:22 left but were unable to close the gap anymore as the Huskies ended the day with a 81-67 victory. Three Huskies scored in the double digits for the game.

The Huskies will head west for a Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) road trip. On Friday, December 9 St. Cloud will take on U-Mary for a 5:30 p.m tip-off. Then on Saturday, December 10 the Huskies will take on Minot State at 3:30 p.m.
