
St. Cloud State Men’s Swim & Dive Continues Competition at GLIAC Championships

Hendriks finishes third in 200-yard freestyle, 400-yard medley relay team finishes fourth
SAGINAW, Mich. – The St. Cloud State Men's Swim & Dive had one individual and one relay top-five finish on the second day of competition at the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletics Conference Championships on Saturday in Saginaw, Mich. Sophomore Raf Hendriks (Berg en Terblijt, Netherlands) posted a third-place finish in the 200-yard freestyle, while the Huskies 400-yard medley relay team finished fourth.

The Huskies maintained its position in fourth place after the second day of competition, checking in with 213 points. St. Cloud State currently sits behind Grand Valley State (480), Wayne State (331) and Northern Michigan (271).

Day three of the GLIAC Championships continues on Sunday. The morning prelims session will start at 9 a.m. CT, while the evening finals session will start at 4:30 p.m. CT.

TOP HUSKIES
- Hendriks clocked a time of 1:39.05 in the 200-yard freestyle to finish third.
- Sophomore Tjeerd Van Stein (Sasseenheim, Netherlands) improve his 400-yard IM time by four seconds, improving from 4:04.77 in the prelims to 4:00.76 in the consolation final to finish ninth.
- In relay events, the Huskies' 400-yard medley relay team of sophomore Charlie Koebele (Bismarck, N.D.), junior Jayden Porter (Bismarck, N.D.), Hendriks and junior Abe Townley (White Bear Lake, Minn.) finished fourth with a time of 3:18.99.
