St. Cloud State moves to 2-0 in Duals
Moorhead, Minn. No. 1 Ranked St. Cloud State Wrestling (2-0, 2-0 NSIC) picked up their second dual win of the season after beating MSU Moorhead 45-0 Thursday evening. The dual started at 125 where No. 6 ranked Conor Knopick put the Huskies on the board with 17-1 tech fall. At 133, No. 6 ranked Sam Spencer shutout Thomas Carrillo with an 11-0 major decision. No. 8 ranked Alyeus Craig made his dual debut and came away with an 8-3 decision to give St. Cloud State a 12-0. No. 2 ranked Colby Njos kicked off kicked three consecutive tech falls for the Huskies as he beat Cody Wienen 20-5 at 149. Joel Jesuroga and Nick Novak followed Njos with tech falls of their own to put the Huskies up 27-0. Bryce Dagel came away with a 10-3 decision in the 174 bout and was followed by an 11-2 major decision by Tyson Meyer at 184. Now leading 34-0, Dominic Murphy gave the Huskies their fifth tech fall of the dual with a 21-6 victory. Jadon Mims closed out the dual with a pin at the 3:33 mark to give St. Cloud State the 45-0 win.
