No. 1 St. Cloud State Wrestling Tallies Nine Bonus Point Victories in 46-4 Route over Sioux Falls

Huskies start the year 1-0
St. Cloud, Min.- No. 1 St. Cloud State Wrestling (1-0, 1-0 NSIC) kicked off their dual season at Halenbeck Hall Sunday afternoon as they wrestled against RV Sioux Falls. The dual kicked off at 174 pounds where Bryce Dagel quickly put the Huskies on the board with a pin in one minute and 54 seconds. Tyson Meyer followed up Dagel at 184 pounds where he tallied an even quicker pin with the fall coming at one minute and 24 seconds. With the Huskies holding a 12-0 lead, No. 4 Dominic Murphy extended that lead with a 17-1 tech fall victory. St. Cloud State continued to roll as No. 2 La'Ron Parks came away with a 10-2 major decision and then No. 6 Conor Knopick pinned Jaxton Packer in one minute and 31 seconds to send SCSU into the break holding a 27-0 lead. Coming out of the break, No. 6 Sam Spencer kept the momentum with a 14-3 major decision. Sioux Falls would put points on the board as Jordon Oehme captured a 16-2 major decision against Caleb Meekins. No. 2 Colby Njos responded with a 12-2 major decision of his own to set the score at 35-4. St. Cloud State closed out the dual with a 19-1 tech fall victory by No. 7 Joel Jesuroga and then a pin in one minute and 34 seconds by No. 5 Nick Novak. The Huskies would walk away with a dominant 46-4 victory and start the year 1-0.
