St. Cloud State Swimming & Diving Set for NCAA Championships

St. Cloud, Minn. – St. Cloud State Swimming and Diving will have seven athletes competing at the 2024 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships this week in Geneva, Oh. The meet will be held March 12-16 with prelims beginning at 9:00 a.m. CT, diving events at 12:00 p.m. CT, and finals at 5:00 p.m. CT.

For the men, two Huskies have qualified in individual events, led by senior Raf Hendriks, who will be competing in three events. Hendriks will be competing in the 100-yard and 200-yard backstroke, as well as the 200-yard freestyle. Joining Hendriks in individual events is freshman Jimmy Nord, qualifying for both 1-meter and 3-meter diving. Hendriks enters the meet with six All-America honors to his name, finishing seventh in the 200 back, 12^th in the 100 free, and 13^th in the 100 back in 2023, in 2022 he finished fifth in the 200 back and 13^th in the 100 back, as well as seventh in the 200 back and 14^th in the 200 free in 2021. Nord will be seeking his first career All-America honors.

The men will also be brining senior Didac Silva Alcoba, senior Jayden Porter, sophomore Cade Rosenwald, and sophomore Mason Beck to compete in relays. Hendriks, Porter, Rosenwald, and Beck will compete for the Huskies in the 200 Medley and 400 Medley relays. In the 200 Free and 400 Free relays, Hendriks, Rosenwald, Silva Alcoba, and Beck will race for the Huskies.

For the women, junior Kailey Fossell will take to the boards for the Huskies. Fossell will be competing in both 1-meter and 3-meter and is looking to earn her first career All-America honors.
