
Women’s Hockey Adds Two from Transfer Portal

ST. CLOUD, Minn. — The St. Cloud State women's hockey team has added two student-athletes from the college hockey transfer portal.
Ally Qualley joins the Huskies after four seasons at Merrimack College. Qualley, a forward, is originally from Brooklyn Park, Minn. and attended The Breck School. With Breck, Qualley won three Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) Class A State Championships. In addition, Qualley was a three-time section 5A champion and was named to the All-State Hockey Team as a senior.
While at Merrimack, Qualley skated in 99 career games tallying 12 goals, 19 assists, and 31 points as a forward for the Warriors. In her freshman season, Qualley was named an ACHA All-American Scholar for maintaining a 3.6 grade point average during her first year.
Brieja Parent joins the Huskies following three seasons with St. Thomas and one season with Minnesota-Duluth. Parent, a forward, is from Forest Lake, Minn. and was a five-year high school letter winner at Forest Lake High School. As a senior, Parent led the Rangers with 33 goals, 30 assists, and 63 points in 28 games played. Parent was named Rookie of the Year following her performance in the 2015-16 season.
Parent played in eight games for the Bulldogs, picking up one block and two faceoff wins. With St. Thomas, Parent scored 10 goals and had 14 assists for 24 points across three seasons. During the 2022-23 and 2023-24 seasons, Parent was named to the WCHA All-Academic Team and was a WCHA Scholar Athlete.
