
Cold Shooting Hurts Huskies in 75-50 Loss to No. 24 Concordia-St. Paul

SCSU shoots 31.7% from the field, 30.8% from three
St. Paul, MN. – St. Cloud State Women's Basketball (3-4, 0-2 NSIC) were hurt by cold shooting as they were defeated 75-50 Wednesday evening against No. 24 Concordia-St. Paul. CSP led the entirety of the game in their wire-to-wire victory.
The first quarter saw the Huskies quickly fall into an 8-0 deficit as the 7:47 mark of the opening frame. A long two by Jada Eggebrecht put SCSU on the board and then back-to-back threes by Alana Zarneke and Rachel Kottke cut the lead down to five points as SCSU trailed 13-8. St. Cloud State ultimately entered the second quarter down 18-14. The Huskies continued to battle against the Golden Bears as a steal by Eggebrecht led to a fastbreak layup for Reagan Briggs as the deficit was now only down to two points with 6:04 left in the half. CSP started to break away as a 10-2 run put them up 10 points. Eggebrecht buried a three to stop the bleeding, but a 4-0 run to close the half put CSP up 36-25 at halftime.
St. Cloud State came out of the break with six points in the first three minutes to stay within striking distance as they trailed 43-31. From that point, SCSU would be held scoreless for the next five minutes of play as CSP ballooned their lead up to 27 points. The Huskies would trail 61-33 entering the fourth quarter and were down 23+ points the remainder of the game. St. Cloud State would shoot 31.7% from the field and 30.8% from three as they were defeated 75-50 against No. 24 Concordia-St. Paul.

- Jada Eggebrecht was the lone Husky in double-figure scoring as she tallied 13 points. She also recorded three stocks (two steals & a block), and two assists.
- Alana Zarneke compiled nine points (4/9) with six rebounds and a block.
- Abigail O'Reilly tallied six points, four rebounds, and a steal.
