Feller and Stapleton tabbed as NSIC Athletes to Watch
BURNSVILLE, Minn. – St. Cloud State Track & Field has been picked to finish 15th in the 2025-26 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) Indoor Track & Field Preseason Coaches' Poll as announced by the league office on Thursday. Sophomore thrower Kim Feller (East Helena, Mont.) and sophomore sprinter Zaria Stapleton (Nassau, Bahamas) were named the preseason athletes to watch by the NSIC.
What excites me most about this group is the balance we have, with a talented freshman class that's eager to learn, a sophomore group that's starting to hit their stride and upperclassmen who've really embraced leadership," said third year head coach Gabrielle Brown. "You can feel the energy and unity."
Feller, the Huskies field athlete to watch, competes in the weight throw and shot put during the indoor season and has personal bests of 11.55m/37-10.75 and 8.97m/29-5.25 respectively.
"Kim has really developed physically over the past year," said Brown. "She's stronger, more explosive, and confident in her technique. That growth is showing in every throw, and I think she's ready to turn that progress into big results."
Stapleton, the Huskies track athlete to watch, competes in the 60 meters, the 200 and long jump during indoors and comes into the season with personal bests of 8.05, 27.47 (indoor) and 4.90m/16-1 respectively.
"Last year Zaria was learning what it takes at this level; now she is locked in as she has gained clarity and experience," said Brown. "Zaria has brought a different kind of focus and energy, you can tell she's ready to make some noise in the sprints and jumps."
NSIC Release
The Huskies open their 2025-26 season at the M City Classic, hosted by Minnesota at the Minnesota Fieldhouse on Dec. 5-6.
