
No. 9 Huskies Capture Clean Sheet in 53-0 Win Over Jamestown

SCSU starts 1-0 in NSIC
Jamestown, N.D. – No. 9 St. Cloud State Wrestling (4-0, 1-0 NSIC) wrestled in their first conference dual of the season as they took on Jamestown Friday evening. SCSU came away with a 53-0 victory after winning every bout with nine bonus point wins.
St. Cloud State came out on fire with a pin by Ben Aranda at 125. Following Aranda was Dominic Ducato and Jayce Luna who each captured tech falls as the Huskies burst out to a 16-0 lead.
At 149, Jeroen Smith battled back and forth against Ethan Holstein, but Smith sealed his victory with a takedown at the 59 second mark of the third period to win 19-13.
The rest of the Huskies would roll through their matchups as No. 2 Joel Jesuroga followed with a 19-2 tech fall to extend the lead to 24-0. Gabriel Smith, Brody Hart, and Cole Glazier produced a fall in each of their bouts as the lead ballooned to 42-0. Tyson Meyer tacked on a 15-0 tech fall at 197 and Jadon Mims closed it out with a forfeit win at 285. St. Cloud State ultimately captured their first conference dual win of the season as they defeated Jamestown 53-0.

- The Huskies closed in on a team record of most points in a dual match (54) but fell just shy of the mark.
- Ben Aranda moved to 3-1 on the year and produced his third bonus point win and second fall.
