St. Cloud State Men’s Hockey Releases 2025-26 Schedule

Nonconference slate includes St. Thomas, Bemidji State, Vermont, Alaska-Anchorage and Coachella Cactus Cup
ST. CLOUD, Minn. – St. Cloud State Men's Hockey finalized its 2025-26 schedule on Wednesday, adding four series and one in-season tournament with nonconference opponents to its schedule. Two opponents, St. Thomas and Bemidji State, are return opponents from last season, while two opponents, Vermont and Alaska-Anchorage, have been added to the schedule for the upcoming season. Additionally, the Huskies will host Augustana for an exhibition game on Friday, Oct. 3 at the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center to kick off the season and will travel to Palm Springs, Calif., to compete in the 2026 Coachella Cactus Cup.
For the fifth consecutive season, St. Cloud State will officially open its regular season with St. Thomas with the 2025-26 campaign beginning with a home contest on Friday, Oct. 3 at the Brooks Center. SCSU will make the return trip to St. Paul on Tuesday, Nov. 11 to be played in the newly opened Lee & Penny Anderson Arena. SCSU will play a home-and-home series with Bemidji State in Bemidji on Oct. 10 and in St. Cloud on Oct. 11 before hosting Vermont (Oct. 17-18) and Alaska-Anchorage (Oct. 25-26).
SCSU will compete in the second iteration of the Coachella Cactus Cup in Palm Springs, Calif., on Jan. 2-3. SCSU will be joined by host UMass-Lowell, Minnesota State-Mankato and Yale at Ariscure Arena, the home of the American Hockey League's Coachella Valley Firebirds, an affiliate of the National Hockey League's Seattle Kraken. Semifinals take place Friday with winners to player one another in the championship and losers appear in a consolation matchup on Saturday. Games will be played at 3:30 p.m. PT and 7:00 p.m. PT both days with first round matchups to be announced at a later date.
In all, the Huskies will play 18 regular season games inside the Brooks Center in 2025-26 with NCHC series against Western Michigan (Oct. 31-Nov. 1), North Dakota (Dec. 5-6), Denver (Dec. 12-13), Minnesota Duluth (Jan. 16-17), Miami (Jan. 30-31) and Colorado College (Feb. 13-14) already announced.
