Huskies use balanced attack again in second consecutive sweep
ST. CLOUD, Minn. – No. 16 St. Cloud State Volleyball (7-3 overall, 2-0 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference) finished its opening weekend of conference play with another sweep on Saturday afternoon at Halenbeck Hall. The Huskies beat UMary (3-7, 0-2 NSIC) in straight sets, 25-18, 25-19, 25-12.
"I thought it was another really nice overall offensive performance from the Huskies today. We served super aggressive but was a little disappointed again with our number of service errors, but between our defensive effort and our blocking effort we were able to make up for it. UMary did a really nice job of extending some rallies, and they had a bunch of hitters put some pace on the ball offensively that put us in some uncomfortable spots. I liked our effort overall, and we're in a great spot starting out the conference schedule with two wins."
