SCSU stays unbeaten in the NSIC
Marshall, MN. – No. 13 St. Cloud State Wrestling (12-2, 5-0 NSIC) posted a shutout in Marshall as they took down Southwest Minnesota State 46-0 Saturday afternoon. SCSU posted seven bonus point wins on the day.
St. Cloud State got on the board early as the Mustangs forfeit at 285. Austin Grzywinski extended the lead to 10-0 as three takedowns and two reversals powered him to an 11-3 major decision.
Mason Mills came away with a 15-8 decision at 133 before Rowdy Neighbor tacked on a 20-2 tech fall. Neighbor came away with 12 nearfall points in his bout.
With the lead at 18-0, Jeroen Smith added another four points with a 17-7 major decision. A second period takedown and riding time propelled Patrick Kubisa to a 5-1 decision as the Huskies continued to roll.
SCSU really put the dual out of reach as Colton Bornholdt and Brody Hart each came away with falls before Brenden Heying added an 18-1 tech fall.
Nathan Fury closed out the match with a 15-5 major decision as SCSU completed the shutout over Southwest Minnesota State in the 46-0 victory.
