St. Cloud State Men’s Basketball Part of First Central Region Rankings

Huskies lone NSIC team represented
Indianapolis, IN. – St. Cloud State Men's Basketball (21-5, 18-2 NSIC) was tabbed as a team under consideration in the first NCAA Regional Rankings as announced Wednesday afternoon. The Huskies were the only NSIC team listed under consideration.
For the first regional rankings, ten teams are listed as under consideration in alphabetical order per region. Those teams included:
Arkansas-Fort Smith
No. 25 Central Missouri
RV Fort Hayes State
Harding
RV Missouri Western
No. 7 Oklahoma Baptist
No. 20 Ouachita Baptist
Rogers State
RV St. Cloud State
No. 3 Washburn
St. Cloud State is part of the Central Region which is composed of three conferences, the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC), Great American Conference (GAC), and Mid-American Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA). The top eight teams in the region advance to the NCAA Regional Tournament on March 13-17 at the site of the top seed in the region. Automatic bids are granted to the winners of the NSIC, GAC and MIAA postseason tournaments, with the remaining five spots being awarded on an at-large basis.
The NCAA Men's Basketball Selection Show will air on www.NCAA.com on Sunday, March 8 (time TBD). The NCAA Elite Eight and Final Four will take place in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania while the National Championship will be played in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Regional rankings will be released each of the next two weeks on Wednesdays prior to the selection show on March 8. The next two releases of rankings will have teams ranked as opposed to listed.
