Lamb Named to WCHA All-Rookie Team

Freshman blueliner becomes 10th All-Rookie selection in program history
BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – St. Cloud State Women's Hockey freshman defender Sydney Lamb (Lombard, Ill.) was named to the Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) All-Rookie Team, as announced by the conference office on Thursday. She is just the program's second defender to be named to the WCHA All-Rookie Team and the 10th overall player.
During league play this season, Lamb played in 25 of the 28 games, scoring six goals and seven assists for 13 points. She also blocked 24 shots, only took one penalty and skated to a +1 mark, while producing two multi-point games. Among rookie defenders in the WCHA, she ranked first in goals, second in assists and first in points in conference games. She also ranked No. 1 in +/-, No. 2 in shot percentage (.167), No. 4 in power play scoring (1-3—4), tied for No. 5 in goals, tied for No. 5 in assists and No. 6 in points for the Huskies.
For the entire 2025-26 season, the Lombard, Illinois native has played in 31 of 34 games, tallying six goals and nine assists for 15 points to go along with blocked 26 shots. She has only taken two penalties, has skated to a +6 mark and contributed three multi-point games. On the team, she ranks No. 1 in +/-, No. 3 in shot percentage (.140), tied for No. 5 in power play scoring (1-3—4), No. 6 in assists, No. 6 in points, tied for No. 6 in goals.
WCHA RELEASE
The Huskies begin postseason play this weekend with a WCHA Tournament First Round best-of-three series matchup at No. 4 Minnesota. Puck drops from Ridder Arena in Minneapolis are set for 6 p.m. Friday (Game One), 2 p.m. Saturday (Game Two) and 3 p.m. Sunday (Game Three – if necessary).
