Voigt Signs with Färjestad BK of SDHL in Sweden for 2026-27 Season

2026 Winter Olympian for Germany skated in over 115 games in four seasons with Huskies
KARLSTAD, Sweden – 2026 St. Cloud State Women's Hockey alumna, forward Svenja Voigt (Cologne, Germany), signed a professional contract with Färjestad BK of the Swedish Women's Hockey League (SDHL) in Karlstad, Sweden the organization announced on July 17. Voigt, a 2026 Winter Olympian for Germany, skated in 118 games during her four seasons with the Huskies.

Despite missing seven games while playing for Germany at the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics in Milan, Italy, Voigt produced career-highs in assists (five), points (seven) and blocks (10) during her senior season. She scored a career-high three goals in her debut campaign in 2022-23. For her career, she produced six goals and 11 assists for 17 points over 118 games for SCSU. Her 17 career points rank tied for 79th all-time in program history.
In the classroom, she was a two-time AHCA All-American Scholar, a three-time WCHA Scholar Athlete Award recipient and a three-time WCHA All-Academic Team selection.
On the international stage, Voigt has competed for the German national team at the junior and senior level several times and made her Olympic debut at the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics. She became one of just 11 St. Cloud State women's hockey players ever to compete at the Winter Olympics and one of just seven to play in the Olympics while currently at SCSU. Voigt has also competed for Team Germany at three International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) Women's World Championships.
