Reiners Signs with ECHL’s Savannah Ghost Pirates

Reiners signs pro contract after four seasons on blue line with the Huskies
ST. CLOUD, Minn. – St. Cloud State Men's Hockey senior defenseman Mason Reiners (Edina, Minn.) signed a professional contract with the ECHL's Savannah Ghost Pirates, as announced by the organization on March 12. Reiners played four seasons for the Huskies, including a career-best two goals and seven assists for nine points while serving as an alternate captain this past season.
Reiners played in all 36 games and led the Huskies in plus/minus with a +8 mark on the ice with two goals and seven assist for nine points. He scored his first career goal shorthanded on Oct. 4, becoming just the fourth Husky since 2001-02 to record their first collegiate goal as a shorthanded score. He was also named to the inaugural NCHC Academic All-Conference team, representing the Huskies with the highest cumulative GPA among juniors or older.
In 126 career games, Reiners totaled two goals and 13 assists for 15 points with 121 blocks and a +15 mark on the ice. In the classroom, Reiners graduated with a bachelor's degree in accounting in three years with a 4.0 GPA and is currently working towards his master's degree in business administration with a perfect 4.0 GPA as well. He has earned four NCHC Academic All-Conference and Distinguished Scholar-Athlete honors, three AHCA All-America Scholar honors and was named to the 2024-25 CSC Academic All-District team.
