
St. Cloud State Wrestling Names Devin Bahr as Assistant Wrestling Coach

Bahr comes from Loras College
St. Cloud, MN. – St. Cloud State Wrestling has announced the addition of Devin Bahr as the Assistant Wrestling Coach. Bahr previously served as the Assistant Wrestling Coach at Loras College while wrestling at Northern State and Wisconsin. He was an All-American at Northern State in his final season.
"I am very excited to have Devin on board as the next Assistant Wrestling Coach at St. Cloud State University," said Head Coach Steve Costanzo. "He brings in a wealth of knowledge for this position and is an individual of high character. When you combine his energy and passion for student-athletes, you get an individual that will continue to take our program in the right direction. Huskies Wrestling is in good place with Devin Bahr as our new Assistant Wrestling Coach and I am very excited to work with him."

Barh spent the previous two seasons as the Assistant Wrestling Coach at Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa. During his tenure, Bahr and the Duhawks tallied a 30-10 record with back-to-back runner-up finishes at Super Region VI. Bahr would coach a total of 14 national qualifiers and five All-Americans.
Prior to his time at Loras College, Bahr wrestled at Northern State University in Aberdeen, South Dakota where he competed at 157 pounds and totaled a 30-14 record. Bahr was a national qualifier in the 2022-23 season as well as the 2023-24 season after consecutive runner-up placements at Super Region V. He would finish fifth at the national tournament in 2023-24 to earn All-American honors. He also earned NWCA Scholar All-American honors that season. Bahr graduated from Northern State in 2024 with his Master's degree in Sport Performance and Leadership.
Before coming to Northern State, Bahr spent one season as a Volunteer Student Assistant Coach at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2021-22. The Badgers tallied a 12-2 record that season and finished 14th at the national tournament with three All-Americans. He would graduate from Wisconsin in 2022 with his Bachelor's degree in Rehab Psychology and earned certificates in Promoting Activity for Diverse Abilities and Athletic Healthcare.
Bahr would begin his collegiate career wrestling at Wisconsin in 2017 where he tallied a 44-22 record during his four-year stint. In his final season with the Badgers, Bahr would be named a Big Ten Distinguished Scholar and earn Academic All-Big Ten.
A native of La Crosse, Wisconsin, Bahr wrestled at West Salem High School where he compiled a 161-1 career record as a three-time state champion. Bahr was a two-time Fargo All-American and set a school record of 36 falls in his junior season.
