Huskies academic efforts honored for 11th consecutive year
LEXINGTON, Ky. – St. Cloud State Volleyball has been named a recipient of the 2025-26 American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award, as announced by the organization on Thursday.

The award, initiated in the 1992-93 academic year, honors volleyball teams that maintain a year-long GPA of 3.3 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
The Huskies compiled a 3.66 cumulative team GPA in the 2025-26 academic year, posting a 3.66 in both the fall and spring semesters to earn the award for the 11th year in a row under head coach Chad Braegelmann.
For the third consecutive year, 1,400+ collegiate and high school volleyball programs earned the AVCA Team Academic Award sponsored by INTENT after maintaining a year-long grade-point average of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale (or 4.1 on a 5.0 scale) to earn the award for their classroom excellence during the recently completed academic year.
"It comes as no surprise to see our sport have more than 1,400 teams earn the AVCA Team Academic Award again this season," said AVCA CEO Jaime Gordon. "We are grateful for the dedication of the coaches and players who make both classroom and on-court success the lifeblood of their programs."
