Jake Franczek enters his fifth season as the strength and conditioning coach of Huskies Hockey in 2024-25. He has been a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the NSCA since 2020.
Franczek has been instrumental in the implementation of modern strength & conditioning practices throughout the Men’s and Women’s Hockey programs, serving a key role in player development. In all, 23 Huskies student-athletes have gone on to sign professional contracts during Franczek’s tenure.
Prior to his time at SCSU, Franczek served as a strength and conditioning intern at the University of Minnesota working with Gophers Men’s and Women’s Hockey. While completing the internship he also worked as an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at Cretin-Derham Hall and Velocity Training Center. His career has also taken him to stops as an assistant at the Detroit Red Wings development and pre-season camps.
Franczek earned his undergraduate degree in Exercise Science from Grand Valley State and completed his master’s degree in Sports Management at St. Cloud State in 2022.
