Wolfe Named Captain of SCSU Women’s Hockey, Three Selected as Alternates for 2025-26 Season

Graduate student Grace Wolfe named captain; Regan Bulger, Jojo Chobak and Laura Zimmermann named alternate captains
ST. CLOUD, Minn. – St. Cloud State Women's Hockey head coach Mira Jalosuo announced team captains for the 2025-26 season on Friday. Graduate student defender Grace Wolfe (Owatonna, Minn.) with be the fifth Husky to wear the "C" as captain for two seasons, while redshirt junior defender Regan Bulger (Yellowknife, Northwest Territories), graduate student goaltender Jojo Chobak (Chicago, Ill.) and redshirt junior forward Laura Zimmermann (Ringgenberg, Switzerland) will be alternate captains and wear a letter for the first time in their career.
Wolfe, who served as a co-captain in 2024-25 and an alternate captain in 2023-24, becomes just the second Husky to wear a letter in three seasons after Katy Battis (C – 1999-2000, A – 2001-02, 2002-03). In 2024-25, she recorded two goals and seven assists for nine points and 51 blocks in 36 games. She recorded two or more blocks in 16 games and 3+ in eight contests. Wolfe earned 2024-25 American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA)/Krampade All-American Scholar honors and became a three-time Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) All-Academic Team member and a two-time WCHA Scholar-Athlete. In 117 career games, Wolfe has recorded seven goals and 30 assists for 37 points and 207 blocks.
 
Bulger posted four assists for four points last season while blocking 32 shots in 29 games. She earned 2024-25 AHCA/Krampade All-American Scholar honors and became a two-time WCHA All-Academic Team member and a two-time WCHA Scholar-Athlete. In 66 career games, Bulger has recorded eight assists for eight points and has blocked 110 shots.
 
Chobak, who was invited to the USA Hockey National Goaltender Camp and National Festival this summer and was a recent U.S. Collegiate Select Team member, is coming off a redshirt season in 2024-25. In 2023-24, she went 7-11-1 over 17 starts and established new program records for single season save percentage (.939) and goals against average (1.64) while recording four shutouts. In two seasons with the Huskies, she is 16-18-2 with a 2.04 GAA, a .931 SV% and nine shutouts over 36 starts/39 appearance. Chobak currently owns seven season top 10 marks and four career top 10 spots in the record book. She is a two-time WCHA All-Academic Team member and a two-time WCHA Scholar-Athlete. In her four-year career, she owns a 26-22-3 record with a 1.99 GAA, a .929 SV% and 12 shutouts over 50 starts/59 appearances.
 
Zimmermann, a steady presence on the Swiss National team, has produced double-digit points in each of her first two years in a Husky sweater. She recorded career-bests in goals (seven) and assists (eight) for a career-high 15 points in 36 games in 2024-25. She ranked tied for third in goals, fifth in assists and tied for fourth in points. She earned 2024-25 AHCA/Krampade All-American Scholar honors and became a two-time WCHA All-Academic Team member. Zimmerman has posted 11 goals and 14 assists for 25 points in 69 career games.
