Shamus O'Grady will serve as an assistant coach for the SCSU wrestling team in 2013-14. A graduate of Coon Rapids High School in Coon Rapids, Minn., O'Grady was a four-year standout for the Huskies in wrestling. The 2013 NCAA Division II champion at 184-pounds, O'Grady charted 108 wins during his college career. He tied a team record as a senior with 40 wins in 2012-13. He gained All-America status four times during his collegiate career, which included the national title in 2013, a fourth place finish at 174-pounds in 2012 and 2011 and a fifth place finish at 174-pounds in 2010. Of note, O'Grady earned Outstanding Wrestler honors at the 2013 NCAA Division II championships.
