SCSU Baseball Hosts Pro Scout Day at Putz Field

The St. Cloud State baseball team had an opportunity to showcase its talents for scouts representing several major league organizations on Oct. 3 at Dick Putz Field in St. Cloud.
Coach Pat Dolan guided his team through various drills and tests that provided the scouts attending an opportunity to access skill levels and physical ability in all aspects of the game.
In the past five years former Huskies, Nick Anderson, David Deminsky, Nate Hammes, Kyle Resser and Jordan Smith have all signed professional contracts. In Dolan's 21 years of coaching he has had 26 players move on to the professional level.
"We've been fortunate to have some of our top players move on to professional baseball and I think we have a few more coming up that will also get this chance. There's just a rich tradition of Huskies baseball players playing professional baseball. It's most every young players dream to play in the show and for these pro scouts to come out and evaluate our players means a lot to them."
The Huskies continue their annual Red/White Fall World Series this weekend with games Saturday, Oct. 6 at 3:00pm at Whitney Field and Sunday, Oct. 7 at noon at the yard in Clear Lake.
