Volleyball Falls to Augustana, 1-3

Sioux Falls, S.D. -- The St. Cloud State University volleyball team traveled to Sioux Falls, South Dakota to take on Augustana College this evening in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) volleyball action. The Huskies fell to the Vikings 1-3 with set scores of 17-25, 25-23, 19-25, and 15-25.
St. Cloud State falls to 12-9 overall and 6-7 in the NSIC. Augustana improves to 17-4 overall and 9-4 in conference play.
Dani Domeier (Norwood Young America) led all players for St. Cloud State with 13 kills and nine digs.
Kaitlin Doughty (Tomahawk, Wis.) finished with ten kills. Kellan Flynn (Tomahawk, Wis.) had seven kills on the night and a team-high .417 attack percentage.
Allison Butler (Burnsville) led the team with a season-high 18 digs.
The Huskies couldn't contend with Augustana's consistent offense as the Vikings finished the match with a .315 attack average compared to the Huskies' .142%.
Holly Hafemeyer, the NSIC's third leading hitter, finished with 21 kills and hit .475 to lead Augustana this evening.
St. Cloud State will return to action tomorrow evening as they face #17 Wayne State at 4 p.m. in Wayne, Neb. The Wildcats are coming off a five-set loss to #4 Minnesota Duluth this evening.
