St. Cloud State Soccer Falls 1-0 to Northern State

St. Cloud, Minn. - The St. Cloud State University soccer team lost a 1-0 decision against NSIC rival Northern State University on Saturday, Oct. 26 at Husky Stadium in St. Cloud, Minn. The loss moves SCSU's record to 7-7-1, 4-7-1 NSIC, while Northern State improves to 8-6-1, 5-6-1 NSIC on the season.
The Huskies will continue their 2013 season on Sunday, Oct. 27 with a 1 p.m. game at home against Minnesota State, Moorhead. Tickets for this important NSIC game can be purchased at the gate on game day.
After a scoreless first half, Northern State's Anna Woern broke the shutout with the game winner at 55:29. The lone assist on the play was posted by Allie Macdonald.
In the game, SCSU outshot the Wolves 16-11. SCSU goalie Brittany Plombon made six saves in the contest, while NSU's Brittany Tietz posted 11 saves in the contest.
