SCSU Volleyball Defeats SD School of Mines and Drury University

Sioux Falls, SD -- The St. Cloud State University volleyball team competed against South Dakota School of Mines and Drury University at the NSIC Challenge today. The Huskies came away with two victories, defeating the School of Mines 3-0 with scores of 25-15, 25-23, and 25-14. SCSU then took down Drury University in four sets, winning 25-16, 25-17, 22-25, and 25-18.
St. Cloud State improves to 6-2 on the year. They will begin conference action on Thursday, Sept. 19 as they host Bemidji State University in Halenbeck Hall.
South Dakota School of Mines Recap:
Ellie Dietzen (Black Creek, Wis.) notched 12 kills, while hitting .474% and collecting five blocks.
Dani Domeier (Norwood Young America) added eight kills in the match and hit .316%.
Brianne Stamer (Hutchinson) had a team-high 13 digs while Allison Butler (Burnsville) added 12.
The Huskies hit .330 in the match, well over South Dakota School of Mine's .176%.
Drury Recap:
Ellie Dietzen posted a team-high 13 kills. This is Dietzen's fifth double-digit kill match of the season. She leads the team with 88 total kills this season and a .417 attack percentage.
Kellan Flynn (Tomahawk, Wis.) and Dani Domeier each added 12 kills. Domeier also collected 16 digs.
Allison Butler tallied eight kills, three service aces and 18 digs.
Erin Ohlemann (Golden Valley) finished with a season-high 47 assists.
