
SCSU Volleyball Hosts Bemidji State in Home Opener Thursday

St. Cloud, Minn. -- The St. Cloud State University Huskies will kick off their Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference season on Thursday, Sept. 19 as they host Bemidji State University. The Huskies are entering the match-up with a 6-2 overall record. The match will be held in Halenbeck Hall and is slated to start at 7 p.m.Â

- The Huskies are coming off two straight victories at the NSIC Challenge over South Dakota School of Mines and Drury University.
- Ellie Dietzen (Black Creek, Wis.) and Dani Domeier (Norwood Young America) both landed on the NSIC Challenge All-Tournament Team.Â
- Ellie Dietzen leads the team with 88 kills on the season, a .408 attack percentage and a 2.93 kill/set average.Â
- Kellan Flynn (Tomahawk, Wis.) is close behind with 80 total kills.
- Over the weekend, Dani Domeier put together a 12-kill, 16-dig performance against Drury University.Â
- The Huskies trail the Beavers 38-55 in the All-Time Records vs. Bemidji State. They last met on Nov. 3, 2012 where St. Cloud State won in three straight sets.
- Bemidji State enters the match-up with a 4-4 overall mark.Â
