Huskies Open Season With 5th Place Finish at SJU

The St. Cloud State University men's cross country team placed fifth at the 2013 Saint John's Invitational on Sept. 7 Â in Collegeville.
On a sweltering day in Central Minnesota, the Huskies were led on the 8K course through the woods at SJU by Tom Mountain, who had a 45th place time of 30:43. Â Rashad Harris completed the course with a 76th place time of 33:34 and Paul Maile was 78th at 34:20. Â The SCSU lineup was completed by Darryl Howard with a 96th place time of 39:15 and Riley Myers in 98th place at 41:09.
In the team standings, Saint John's win the event with 25 points, while Minnesota Duluth was second at 51.Gustavus Adolphus placed third at 53 points and North Central (Minn.) was fourth at 129.
The Huskies will continue their season on Sept. 21 with a trip to the St. Olaf Invitational.
