Women's Hoops Host Sioux Falls in Wednesday Night First Round Tournament Game

St. Cloud, Minn. --Â St. Cloud State will host the University of Sioux Falls (12-14 overall, 8-14 NSIC) on Wednesday, Feb. 26 at 6 p.m. in Halenbeck Hall. Â The Huskies enter into Wednesday's first round NSIC Sanford Health Tournament match-up holding a 16-10 overall record and are 12-10 in the NSIC.

In the All-Time Series Records vs. Sioux Falls, the Huskies trail 1-2, dating back to 2011. The winner of this first round tournament game will head to Sioux Falls (SD) to compete at the Pentagon along with the remaining eight conference teams. Wednesday's winner will match up against the winner of Wayne State and Bemidji State on Saturday, March 1 at 6 p.m.

The Huskies are 12-2 on their home court this season, one of their losses at Halenbeck Hall coming to USF on Jan. 11 this season. In that game, the Huskies trailed 30-40 at the half after the Cougars shot 51% in the first twenty minutes and knocked down eight of 15 shots from beyond the arc (53%). The Cougars failed to slow down in the second half as they hit seven of 14 three-point attempts. Sioux Falls shot 51% from the field compared to St. Cloud State's 38% in final statistics.

Jessica Benson (Grand Meadow) led all players for St. Cloud State as she finished with 25 points and 12 rebounds.
