LAST TIME OUT:  The Huskies lost a 5-2 decision against North Dakota on Feb. 28 at the Brooks Center.  SCSU goals were scored in the game by Joey Benik and Kevin Gravel.  The Huskies maintained a share of 1st place in the league thanks to a 3-1 win over UND on March 1.  Benik opened the scoring and Cory Thorson published the game winner in the second before Kevin Gravel iced it with an ENG in the final minute of play.  Ryan Faragher won the game with 33 saves for the Huskies in the nets.
WHAT'S ON THE LINE: SCSU enters the final week of regular season play in the NCHC with a 19-8-5 overall record and a 13-6-3-0 record in the NCHC.  The Huskies are currently tied for first place in the league along with North Dakota.  Both teams have 42 league points this season.  The Huskies will have an opportunity to clinch the regular season NCHC championship this weekend when they travel to Colorado College for a pair of league tilts at the World Arena in Colorado Springs on March 7-8.
50 WINS: SCSU netminder Ryan Faragher became just the second goalie in team history to gain 50 career victories with his 3-1 win over UND on March 1.  In his career, Faragher is 50-32-8 with a 2.53 career goals against average, five shutouts and a .913 save rate.  Brian Leitza is the all-time wins leader at SCSU with a 66-56-7 record from 1994 to 1998.
TOP GUN:  Sophomore Jonny Brodzinski currently leads the Huskies in 2013-14 with 35 points (16g/19a). Brodzinski will bring a five-game point streak into the CC series and he has notched two goals and six assists during the current streak.
SENIOR CITIZENS:  SCSU saluted its four seniors on March 1, as they played in their final regular season home games at the Brooks Center.  The group included forward Nic Dowd, forward Cory Thorson, defender Kevin Gravel and defender Brandon Burrell.  Thorson and Gravel both charted goals in the contest on March 1, while Burrell saw his first ice time of the 2013-14 campaign in the contest.
TAKING ADVANTAGE:  SCSU senior Nic Dowd ranks fifth in the nation and first in the NCHC with nine power play goals to his credit this season.  As a team. The Huskies rank fourth in the nation on the power play at 24.4 percent this season (31-of-127).

SECOND ON THE LIST:  SCSU head coach Bob Motzko won his 181st career game on March 1.  Motzko is now tied for second place in the team records for most wins by a coach along with Charlie Basch, who had a 181-193-7 record from 1968 to 1984.  Motzko enters the weekend of play at CC with a 181-133-40 record during his nine seasons in St. Cloud.  Motzko is 13-12-4 during his career against Colorado College.  SCSU's all-time coaching victory leader is Craig Dahl, who had a 338-309-52 record from 1987 to 2005.

THE DALY SHOW: Junior blueliner Tim Daly has five assists this season and four of those assists have been scored in the last five games for the Huskies.  Daly gained an assist in both games against UND.  On the season, Daly has one goal and five assists in 2013-14.
FUN FACTS: SCSU was outshot by North Dakota in both games this weekend, but that trend doesn't seem to bother the Huskies too much as they are 10-2-3 in games when they are outshot this season.  SCSU is 9-4-5 when it scores on the power play this season, and the Huskies are also 10-4-0 in games when they don't score on the power play this season.
