Huskies swim and dive teams finish regular season in SDSU dual

Brookings, S.D. – The St. Cloud State men's and women's swimming and diving teams completed the regular season today in a dual meet at South Dakota State University. The Jackrabbits men defeated the Huskies 189-111 while the South Dakota State women won 181-118.
SDSU vs. SCSU results
First year swimmer Andrea Bryson (Appleton, Wis.) won two events and swam a leg of the winning 400 free relay team. Bryson won the 200 free in 1:56.99 and the 100 butterfly in 1:00.10. She swam the final leg of the 400 free relay joining Julie Schmitt, Madeline Franklin and Kelsey Leeson in a winning time of 3:39.78.
For the men, senior Alex Bryson (Appleton, Wis.) and first-year Justin Winnett (Woodward, Iowa) won two races each.
Bryson won the 1000 free in 9:48.03 and the 500 free in 4:44.13. Winnett gained winning times in the 100 breast in 58.35 and the 200 breast in 2:10.31. He also had second place finishes in the 200 free in 1:45.27 and 200 individual medley in 1:59.36.
Other top finishes for the teams included:
Senior diver Tyler Magalis (Farmington, Minn.) won the one meter board with a score of 306.68.
Senior diver Emily McIntire (Sartell, Minn.) posted a score of 215.10 to win the three-meter event finished second on the one-meter board with a score of 211.88.
First-year swimmer Lindsey Lewis (Woodbury, Minn.) won the 500 free in 5:21.17. Lewis placed fourth in the 1000 free with a time of 11:06.12.
Emily Tiedemann finished second in the 100 back in 1:00.51 and second in the 200 back in a time of 2:11.56.
Next up for the Huskies is the 2015 New South Intercollegiate Swim Conference (NSISC) Championships, Feb. 18-21 in Cleveland, Miss.
