Huskies men's and women's swimming and diving teams to compete at Minnesota Challenge Feb. 6-7

St. Cloud, Minn. – The St. Cloud State men's and women's swimming and diving teams will compete at the Minnesota
Challenge on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 6-7 at the Aquatic Center on the University of Minnesota campus.

The competition gets underway at 6 p.m. on Friday and Saturday's action begins at 11 a.m. This is the final
competition for the Huskies leading up to the New South Intercollegiate Swimming Conference (NSISC)
Championship to be held Feb. 18-21 in Cleveland, Miss.

In the most recent College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) NCAA Division II polls, the Huskies men's team is ranked
17th in the nation the the women's squad 20th.

To date the Huskies have qualified three divers for the 2015 NCAA Division II National Swimming and
Diving Championships set for March 11-13 in Indianapolis.

Several swimmers have met "B" cut standards and currently rank in the top 30 in Division II.

Leading the way is senior distance swimmer Alex Bryson (Appleton, Wis.). Bryson currently ranks
sixth in the 500 freestyle (4:26.85), seventh in the 1650 free (15:32.00), tenth in the 1000 free (9:23.08), and 14^th in the 400 IM (3:58.80).
First year swimmer Justin Winnett (Woodward, Iowa) is 30^th in the men's breaststroke (56.33).
Senior Abby Rasmussen (Sauk Rapids, Minn.) is eighth in the 100 breast (1:03.48).
First-year swimmer Andrea Bryson (Appleton, Wis.) ranks 17^th in the 200 free (1:51.35).
Senior Kellyn Craig (Denver, Colo.) ranks 19^th in the 400 IM (4:29.28) and 21^st in the breast (2:19.71).
Sophomore Emily Tiedemann (Verona, Wis.) is 29^th in the 100 back (57.12).
Junior Kelsey Leeson (Riverton, Utah) is 30^th in the women's 50 free (23.83).
