St. Cloud State's Reese Gregory named to preseason All-America team

Huskies ranked 9th in preseason region poll
St. Cloud State University junior pitcher Reese Gregory (St. Cloud/Apollo H.S.) has been selected to the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association's 2015 preseason Division II All-America team. Â Gregory was named as a second team relief pitcher selection to the team.
An All-America, All-Region and All-NSIC pick for the Huskies in 2014, Gregory notched a 10-3 overall record for SCSU in 2014. Â His stats included a 1.30 ERA, seven saves, 58 strikeouts and eight earned runs allowed in 55.1 innings of work last spring. Â He helped direct the Huskies to a 37-14 overall record in 2015.
Gregory was also named to the NCBWA's preseason All-Central team as a relief pitcher while teammate senior outfielder Eric Loxtercamp (Cold Spring/ROCORI) was named to the preseason All-Central team as an outfielder.Â
As a team, the Huskies were ranked ninth in the NCBWA's Central Region preseason poll with 17 points. Â SCSU finished the 2014 season ranked sixth in the NCBWA Central Region poll. Â Minnesota State topped the region poll with 56 points, while Southern Arkansas was ranked second with 48 points. Â The complete top 10 region poll is listed below.
